Historic Resources Survey of Tenleytown
In the fall of 2002 the DC Historic Preservation Office of the Office of Planning issued a request for proposals for a survey covering approximately 350 buildings within a small area surrounding Tenley Circle and including several suburbs such as Armesleigh Park, Mount Airy, and the former Fort Reno subdivisions.
After community input and careful consideration, this area was expanded, resulting in the boundary seen above, with a total of 894 buildings surveyed under the direction of Kelsey & Associates, Inc., subcontractor to Tenleytown Historical Society. The survey report and accompanying documentation, contained in individual square folders was deposited with the Historic Preservation Office on September 4, 2003.
The original letter of agreement stated a deadline of September 30, 2003.
