In 1903 Fred Robey built 4429

Frederick F. Robey was the oldest of the nine children of James W. Robey.  He married Sarah J. Walther. 

Fred Robey was a builder and contractor who worked primarily in old Tenleytown and in Cleveland Park.  He also worked for the government as a cabinet maker in the Department of Agriculture, a machinist, and in the Bureau of Mines. 

He was an active Mason, having served as Master of the Singleton Masonic Lodge, and was a trustee of Eldbrooke Church.  Fred Robey lived in this house until his death in 1945.
