It was designed by Joseph Keim who also designed Elmer Robey’s house across the street at 4439.
Samuel R. Burrows was not related to Samuel F. Burrows some of whose land was sold for American University Park.
Samuel R. Burrows and his father, Henry T. Burrows, operated a poultry stand at the Riggs Market.
